Arnold Reesink is the postdoctoral field researcher on the Paraná River project. His previous research on the formation and properties of primary sedimentary structures has involved a multitude of cutting edge techniques such as RADIUS particle size analysis, mini air-permeametry, flume research, and fieldwork involving coring, development of lacquer peels, trench analysis, and Ground Penetrating Radar. Reesink specialises in the interpretation of primary sedimentary structures in river deposits. Arjan joined the Paraná project on 1 July 2008.
