Dr Dan Parsons

Dr Dan Parsons currently holds a NERC Fellowship investigating the flow and migration dynamics of 3D bedforms (until end 2008) and then will become a lecturer in the School of Earth and Environment. Prior to taking up his NERC fellowship, he was employed as a NERC funded PDRA investigating flow dynamics and bed morphology at the confluence of the Rio Paraná and Rio Paraguay in NE Argentina. Parsons is an expert in using multi-beam echo sounders (MBES) and other flow monitoring equipment in fluvial environments.
