Professor Oscar Orfeo

Professor Oscar Orfeo is vice-Director of CECOAL and a Professor at UNNE. He has worked for more than 25 years in the Paraná Basin. Orfeo’s research links sediment dynamics of the channels to transport processes developed on the extensive floodplains, including interpretation of deposits to aid understanding of landscape evolution. This work has been focussed on many rivers within the La Plata basin including the Paraná, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bermejo and Pilcomayo. He is a PI on a number of large national scientific projects and collaborates on several international projects
